Entry deadline is January 8, 2010. The cost is $70 per entry for online entries,
$80 per entry for entries submitted by paper, fax or email. Late entries after January
8 will be charged $80 per entry for online entries and $90 for entries not submitted

Table, sparkling, fortified, fruit and specialty wines produced in any of the wine
producing regions of the world that meet the applicable federal legal requirements
for sale in the United States are eligible for entry.
Entries must be listed on the official entry form, either directly online or downloaded
from this web site. If downloading the paper form, please complete the entire form
and sign at the bottom of the page to certify that the statements on the form are
correct. Failure to complete the form properly may result in disqualification.
An official entry shall consist of five (5) bottles, each bottle no less than 750
ml. or more than 32 oz. in volume. An official entry of wines, such as dessert wines,
that are bottled only in 375 ml. bottles will consist of six (6) bottles, each no
less than 375 ml. Include a digital copy of the label for each entry in the online
entry form, or one label or a copy of a label for each entry with the paper entry
form.
A wine that is marketed under different labels may be entered in only once per year.
Any wine that is delivered to the competition without a full and proper label will
be disqualified from the judging. Please do not send wines with laboratory, temporary,
photocopied or altered labels.
Please specify on the entry form how many gallons of wine were produced. A minimum
of 120 gallons is required. This rule is to ensure that wines entered in the competition
were produced for purchase by consumers.
In entering the Competition, a winery agrees to donate one case (12 bottles) of
each gold medal-winning wine for the Taste of the World wine and food event, which
will be held Sunday, April 25 2010, during the Dallas Wine and Food Festival. Proceeds
of the event will benefit the Friends of the Farmers Market.

Shipments will be accepted Monday through Friday from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm. If
wines are shipped to an address other than the one above, the entries will be disqualified
and entry fees will not be returned. Please do NOT ship any wines to our old PO
Box, the Dallas Convention Center or The Dallas Morning News.
The competition, its service contractors, and any officer, staff member, sponsor
or director of the same shall not be responsible for the safety of the wines from
theft or damage by fire, accident, vandalism or other causes. The competitor expressly
waives and releases any claim or demand that he or she may have against any of them
by reason of any damage to, or loss of, any wine entered in the competition.
In the event that the judging is not held, a portion of the fees will be refunded,
based on the amount paid minus a pro rata share of the expenses for establishing
and maintaining entry files.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Competition shall not be liable for failure to
perform caused by an act of God, fire, flood, wind, rain, storm, electrical failure,
strike, labor dispute, riot, insurrection, war or other causes beyond its control.
